Hey guys,
As some of you may have noticed, the website has gotten a decent overhaul over the last 24 hours. I felt like the website needed to reflect my personality and music a little more, so I decided to change things up a little bit. I also added my logo, which before, was mysteriously absent. The other reason for the change was that I'm dropping my new single 'Spike Spiegel' today at 6pm EST complete with its own AMV. The song will appear on my album 'Virtuoso' set to be released early next year; and also on Geek E Productons' 'Nerdcore Absolution 3', which will be released on December 9, 2016. It's currently available for pre-order.
I'm really excited about this song, and more specifically the video. Very few people know this, but before the days of Youtube, I used to create AMV's (Anime Music Videos) before it was the cool thing to do. Back then, DannyPoo was the AMV G.O.A.T.; later replaced by the guys at Otaku Vengeance (that Street Fighter 2 AMV is still amazing to this day). I used to go by Vegeta_42 (aka vegeta42@usxchange.net) and I started out making AMV's for my own website (Then called 'Dimension'). A short time after that, I joined this website DBZHQ 2000 and started making videos for them. That site evolved into 'The Z HQ,' and eventually I got bored and stopped making AMV's for a while. The interesting about this tho, is that someone uploaded on of my video to Youtube years later and it has over 20,000 views. When sifting through the comments, I found out that it had even made its way to Newgrounds back then, which is pretty awesome. I also saw that someone else remade that same video, but with better quality. Back when I was making these things in middle/highschool , I had no idea those videos were that popular. There are some more out there from when I changed my name to Shaydes of Death (sylothemyth@hotmail.com - an email address I still have, but rarely check). I still have them all, so maybe I'll upload the all one day. Anyways...
The reason I brought this all up was because I dusted off my old skills, and created an AMV for this 'Spike Spiegel' track. It took me an entire weekend, mostly because I had forgotten how to use the video editing software and had to re-teach myself. All in all, I think it turned out great and I hope you guys dig it. So without further adieu, here it is:
