It's been a minute, hasn't it? I probably should have mentioned this before I left, but I left the country for 3 weeks and went on vacation in Japan. I've actually been back for a week and a half, and I've jut been adjusting back into my normal life. I mostly went out there for sightseeing and to hang out with friends, but I also had to the opportunity to rock 2 shows! The first one was at BiriBiri in Uguisudani (in Taitō, Tokyo), and the second one was at Tokyo Knowledge in Asakusa (also in Taitō, Tokyo). These were definitely some of the major highlights of the trip, and I'm really grateful for everyone who helped me put all of that together.
This was my second time in Japan, and it still remains on of my favorite places in the world. All of the people that I have met there have all been really nice and respectful. It's a total 180 from being in America, where I encounter extreme rudeness on almost a daily basis. Also, no mater where I've gone in Japan, I cant say that I've felt any micro-aggression against me based on my skin color. It's really refreshing.
For this year's adventure, we started in Tokyo, then went to Kanazawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Yuasa, Hiroshima, and then back to Tokyo. I had an awesome time, and cant wait to go back again. Best believe I've got some surprises in store for the next couple of months. But for now, Here's some of the pictures I took!
